Barbara Bernard is American by birth, but has
lived in England since 1971. She studied art in Beloit,
Wisconsin. She now works from her studio in Chiswick, London,
currently concentrating on painting in oils. She divides her
time between London, England and Nantucket Island, Massachusetts,
USA. She regularly participates in "Artists at
Home", open studios in the Chiswick area over a weekend
in June.
Barbara is an avid needlewoman, designing fashion knitwear
in the 1970's and 80's, and now designs in needlework tapestry.
She offers a tapestry design service, specialising (not surprisingly) in
architectural subjects, ie house portraits.
